Websites and marketingfor tattoo studios.
People choose a tattoo artist, not a shop, and they choose from portfolios. I design the site, build it, then run the search, email and ads that keep the enquiries coming.

How tattoo studios win customers online, and what I would put in place to win more of them.
How customers choose
People choose a tattoo artist, not a shop, and they choose from portfolios. They want to see work in the style they are after, understand how booking and deposits work and know the studio is clean and professional.
What the website has to do
The site should have a portfolio page for each artist, organised by style, and an enquiry form that asks for placement, size, style and reference images, so every conversation starts with what the artist needs. Deposit and booking policies, aftercare and studio hygiene information should be clear.
What keeps it busy
Aftercare emails after each session, reminders for follow-up sessions on larger pieces and an active Instagram presence linked to booking keep the books full. Guest artist announcements and flash days can be promoted to an email list of past clients.
Where it usually leaks
The places tattoo studios most often lose a customer who was ready to buy.
- Enquiries arrive with no size, placement or budget, so every one starts from scratch.
- Every treatment sits on one page, so searches for a specific treatment go to directories instead.
- Booking means a DM conversation, and half of them never turn into an appointment.
- Clients book once and never get a reason to rebook.
Where I’d start
A page per treatment, booking straight from every page, and a review request built into the booking confirmation.
- Artist portfolio pages
- An enquiry form with placement, size and reference upload
- Deposit and booking flow
- Aftercare emails
What your customers search
Tap one to run that exact search on Google and see who shows up where you are. If it is not you, each of these deserves a page that answers it directly.
Questionsworth asking.
- How much does a website for tattoo studios cost?
- It depends on the project, so there is no rate card. The number comes from how many pages and services the site covers, whether it needs booking, payments or integrations, and whether you want the marketing run after launch. After a 30-minute call you get a written scope and a quote, usually within two working days, and I will tell you honestly what your budget can do well.
- Do you work with tattoo studios anywhere in the world?
- Yes. I work with anyone, anywhere, fully remotely. Calls are booked at a time that suits us both, and everything else runs in writing, so the distance rarely matters. I have delivered for clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and France.
- Why do directories rank above my salon for my own treatments?
- Because they have a page for each treatment and you probably do not. I rebuilt a salon site with a page per treatment, fixed its schema markup and business profile, and it now sits in the local top three for twelve treatment searches it used to lose.
- Can the site use my existing booking system?
- Almost always. Fresha, Vagaro, Booksy, Square and most others embed or link cleanly. The point is that booking is one tap from every page, whichever system sits behind it.
