Email marketing and automated flows
Welcome, abandoned cart and post-purchase flows in Klaviyo or Mailchimp, plus the segmentation that stops you sending everyone the same message.
Email is the only channel you own. The list does not get repriced, throttled or moderated, and it is usually the cheapest revenue in the business. Most stores still run it as an occasional newsletter.
The work is mostly flows rather than campaigns. A welcome sequence, browse abandon, cart abandon and post-purchase run on their own once built, and they sell to people at the point they were already interested. One store I run this for turns over around $26,000 a month with roughly a fifth of that attributed to email, and effectively all of it comes from flows rather than broadcasts.
Deliverability is part of the job, not an afterthought. SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up properly, sending reputation warmed rather than blasted, and suppression handled so you stop mailing people who will never open.

Questions
- How big does my list need to be?
- Smaller than most people think. Flows sell to people already on your site, so even a few hundred engaged subscribers earn their keep. A large unengaged list is worth less than a small active one, and mailing it can cost you deliverability.
- Will you write the emails or do I?
- Either. I write them by default, in your voice, and you approve before anything sends. If you have someone who writes, I will build the flows and templates and leave the words to them.
