How does a project actually start?

A 30-minute call where I ask what the site or campaign needs to do and what is stopping it now. Within two working days you get a written scope listing every page and deliverable, a fixed price, and a launch date. Nothing starts until you approve that document, and it is what I am held to afterwards.

How long does a project take?

A single landing page is about a week. A marketing site of five to ten pages is two to four weeks. Custom web apps start at a month and I split them into phases, so something usable is live early rather than everything arriving at the end. The date in the scope is the date I work to.

How does pricing work?

Fixed price against the written scope, so there is no hourly meter running. How you pay it depends on the project and how we are working together: sometimes in full up front, sometimes split, sometimes something we settle as we go. Whatever makes sense for your project, I will say so before anything starts. Ongoing work such as SEO, ads, or email runs monthly and you can stop it with 30 days notice, and anything outside the scope gets quoted before I do it.

What counts as a revision?

Two rounds at the design stage and one after build. A round means you send everything you want changed in one go and I make those changes. Copy edits, colour and spacing adjustments, swapping images, and moving sections around all count. Adding a page that was not in the scope, or changing direction after approving the design, is new work and I will quote it.

Who owns the work when it is finished?

You do. The code, design files, domain, ad account, and every third-party login are created in your name or transferred to you at handover. I do not host anything on my own accounts, and there is no platform of mine you are tied to. If you want to move to another developer later, nothing stops you.

What happens after launch?

Thirty days where I fix any bug or small issue at no cost. You also get written documentation and screen recordings covering how to edit content, so your team can take it from there. After that you can keep me on monthly for updates and monitoring, or just email when something comes up and I will quote it.

Do you work on existing sites or only new builds?

Both, and a good share of my work is fixing what already exists: speed and technical SEO problems, conversion work on the pages that matter, or connecting automation to tools you already pay for. If a rebuild would genuinely cost less than patching, I will say so, and if patching is enough I will say that too.

Can you do several of these at once?

Yes, and it usually works out better. A site rebuild that launches with the email flows and ad creative already in place compounds faster than the same pieces arriving months apart from different people. I sequence them so each one feeds the next rather than running them all in parallel.

How I work

I am Ibrahim Ayodeji Maroof, and I trade as The Deji. I take on a handful of projects at a time so each one gets finished properly rather than queued.

I design and build websites, then build the systems that make them earn: search, email, ads, and the automation between them. Most of my clients are businesses with something real to sell and nobody in-house to sell it for them.

I learned this trade as a designer, then learned to build so the work would not stop at a mockup. I finished my degree at the Federal University of Technology in 2026, having spent most of it doing this for clients at the same time.
