Websites and marketingfor consultants.
A consultant sells a way of thinking, and the site is where prospects first sample it. I design the site, build it, then run the search, email and ads that keep the enquiries coming.

How consultants win customers online, and what I would put in place to win more of them.
How customers choose
A consultant sells a way of thinking, and the website is often where prospects first sample it. If the site only lists services, it could belong to anyone. Prospects want to see how you think about problems like theirs before they invite you in.
What the website has to do
The site should publish insights that show your thinking, case studies with outcomes and a clear way to book a discovery call. Pages for each type of problem you solve help the right clients find you, and a short description of how engagements run removes uncertainty.
What keeps it busy
A regular newsletter keeps you in mind, and articles that answer specific questions rank and get cited by AI assistants. Speaking, guest content and referrals all work better when they point back to a site that demonstrates expertise.
Where it usually leaks
The places consultants most often lose a customer who was ready to buy.
- The site lists services but shows no thinking, so it could belong to anyone.
- The site describes the firm instead of answering the question the client arrived with.
- Enquiries land in a shared inbox and wait days for a reply.
- Practice areas share one page, so none of them ranks.
Where I’d start
A page per practice area that answers the client’s real question, a short qualifying enquiry form, and a same-day automated acknowledgement.
- Insight articles that rank and get cited
- Case studies with outcomes
- Discovery call booking
- A newsletter that keeps you front of mind
What your customers search
Tap one to run that exact search on Google and see who shows up where you are. If it is not you, each of these deserves a page that answers it directly.
Questionsworth asking.
- How much does a website for consultants cost?
- It depends on the project, so there is no rate card. The number comes from how many pages and services the site covers, whether it needs booking, payments or integrations, and whether you want the marketing run after launch. After a 30-minute call you get a written scope and a quote, usually within two working days, and I will tell you honestly what your budget can do well.
- Do you work with consultants anywhere in the world?
- Yes. I work with anyone, anywhere, fully remotely. Calls are booked at a time that suits us both, and everything else runs in writing, so the distance rarely matters. I have delivered for clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and France.
- How do professional firms show up in AI search answers?
- By publishing clear answers to the questions clients actually ask, on pages that can be read without JavaScript, with the author named and the firm properly marked up. Assistants quote sources they can identify and check.
- Can the enquiry form screen out work we do not take?
- Yes. A few short questions at the start can route each enquiry to the right person, or politely point it elsewhere, before anyone spends time on a call.
